i was looking into buying a 250r engine out of a atc (aircooled) and installing it into my 86trx250r until i save more money for a nice watercooled one...but i wanted to know if it would bolt up to the stock engine mounts, because i don't wanna ruin the frame by cutting and welding it...So would it bolt into the stock engine mounts???

Thanks for the help

I highly doubt it will bolt in. You might be able to make some brackets that bolt on so that you don't have to cut and weld on your frame though. What is wrong with the engine in your 250R?

there is another problem, on the air cooled 250r's, the chain is on the oposite side(where the brake is on most).
