yeah, I had problems with my parking break also so I just unhooked it, it would engage the break when ever I landed from a jump. Yeah just unhook it.-darren

you can ride OK maybe for a while but you need to get that blockoff plate ASAP b/c if dirt gets into there it goes inside the calipar & fuxs everything up ;)

yeah....that will happen, and when your calipar becomes full of dirt, water etc. Its going to cost a lot more the $12 that you should have spent on a block-off plate.

umm actually even if you do get the block off plate and put it on ,water still gets on the inside of the plate. There is no type of seal for the blockoff plate.

some have o-rings some dont

Pro Design parking brake block off has an inner o-ring, I've used it on my 300ex with no problems. On my 400exs I run Nacs block offs, they dont have a seal and I havent had any problems with water getting in. My friend also has one on his raptor with no problems.

if you want for now just unhook the cable and zip tie the arm to something to keep it from turning out

I had a leaking problem with my parking brake. All the brake fluid was leaking out from around were the parking brake was bolted to the caliper

SO......i ordered a Nac's block-off hoping just to fix the problem because i never used my p-brake anyway

after puting everything back on and trying to bleed my brakes it is still leaking out from were the parking brake bolts to the caliper

I'm lost as to what to do i tightened the bolts as tight as they will go, but i'm still getting leakage

Do i need a new caliper?

there shouldn't be any fluid in your parking brake:eek:

I suppose you could pull the bolt out of the stock parking brake assembly then weld in the hole...remember its aluminum tho

maybe sheet metal

It would work, but I don't know how long sheet metal would work. Good idea though;)
