40 Tooth Sprocket??

Can a 40 tooth sprocket off of a 300ex fit on a 400ex? I have the clearance from the skid plate because its an aftermarket. Will I need a longer Chain and what else should I worry about?

I already dropped a tooth off the front, I want to go bigger in the back because I went to 22 inch tires.

yes it will fit as long as you have clearance.

And you will probably need a longer chain but you might be abel to losen it enough to fit the bigger sprocket.
