Do you need a clamp kit to install Pro taper AC3 bars on a 400ex?

Depends on the bar thickness. I'm not sure if those pro taper bars are 1 and 1/8 if they are you need the clamp kit. If there 7/8 inch bars you dont.

I can't find anywhere on rockymountain or the pro taper website how thick they are:eek2:

Looks like you dont need the clamp kit.

It said they were 5mm bars which is the same as 7/8.

yea those are 7/8" (standard clamp)

an easier way to tell if they're fat bars or not if the diameter of the bar on the ends is the same as it is in the middle, if its the same it'll just be the standard clamp
