electrical problem i think

ok,i was just outside gettin my quad ready for a weekend ride,and i go to start it up and it wont start up.I located the source of the problem,it was were the posotive wire on the body meets with the fuse,and then another wire goes in the alternator i guess u can call it,but wen i hit the start button all it does is make a ZZZZZZZZZZZTTTTT sound,so wat da problem,if u dun no wat im talkin about,it is located to da left of the battery bout 4 or so inches and it is in a black boot,and it is round,this is for a 300ex,please help me i wanna go ridin this weekend.

nvm bout this post i gotta get a new start relay thing,damn and idk if i will b able to go riding this weekend either,does nebody no how u can fix a faulty one?

you cylinoid is your problem ( the think close to your batery )
A cheap fix is to take srew driver and touch the two bolts that are on the top of the cylinoid. THe srew driver lets the power go from the batery to the starter and voila. And don't worry this is not going to damage any thing , I did it alot in the pass.

when my selenoid made that sound it wasnt the selenoid. It was my starter.

Just try it and see if it works. It won't damage anything.

Sounds like you have a dead battery. make sure it is fully charged. If it is try jumping the relay (it isn't a celenoid) and if it starts then you need a new relay. Also make sure all your connections are tight and clean.

its the solenoid i believe....cuz i had to replace mine..and i just touched it with a screw driver...but after awhile i just bought a new one for like 20 bucks..;)

i found out wat the problem was,i have to go get a new battery after i was just at the honda place the same day that my 300 went,so i jus tried my suzuki battery on it and it wrked,so thankz for all ur help but it is a just a battery problem,thankz
