Personally I'm a ford guy

But when you look at the trucks today, your going to get a truck that lasts if you take care of it.... I've seen lots of fords, dodges, chevs etc with over 400,000 km (250,000 miles) without a single problem,

i just bought an 89 f150 XLT Lariat 2wd. got it dirt cheap, put a new clutch, u-joints, wiper motor, slave cylinder and clutch line in it. paid 200 for truck (well traded my 200 dollar car for it), and about 300 in parts...right now it retails around 1300! of course i put a deck and some cerwin vega speakers in it, but im happy with it. with a little bit of money and mechanical know-how, you can have a decent truck that someone else thought was just scrap metal
