View Full Version : Suzuki coming out with a 450...
i just read in either ATVrider or Dirtwheels, i can't remember which...but they said that suzuki is makign a new 450 dirtbike and they would possibly make a 450 quad...did anyone read that? i think that these new 450's are going to make quad racing just as big as dirtbikes within a few years...

The racing part would be nice. I read that in dirt wheels to. Probably not for a couple years.

Well Im sure the new 450s arent going to help out the Z400 sales any, gotta do something to keep in the game.
Its great to finally see the quad scene starting to take off.

they already ahev a suzuki 450 dirtbike.........at a track i was talking to the guy and he had jsut picked it up.....

I had heard awhile back that the '05 Z400 is going to be a 450, but other then that pretty much the same quad. No idea if it's true or not though...

I heard about the same thing. I read something a while back about Suzuki working on their new 450 quad that will be released next summer, but yet again, something I read on the internet!:(

Sure as hell wasn't a 450 motocross bike. Must have been the RM-Z 250.

it had ot be the 450 becasue it was as big as our old yz 426 dirtbike and it was as big as our friends crf 450..............

i don't know about that but, the 4 stroke 250 Suzuki is a lot faster than what you might think. i went to wolfmann's and this kid was doing a 90 foot triple every lap perfect. i didn't think the 250 could do that until i saw him do it.
the 450 quad wouldn't be out for a few years since the new 450 isn't even out yet. the quad industry is goign up bigtime now that you can get race bikes off the floor for 7g all ready. before you got a 250R or a 400ex and dumped 10g into them and then you had something. these 450's are just great...can't wait to see the Honda against the 450 on the track

my 250f is just as big as that crf450 at the honda dealership so mine must be a 450 lol the rmz250 is out but the 450 wont be out until next year

travis pastrana went like 200 some feet on a rm125 and its in the movie revelation 199 he was like 14 when he did it also

ya sure about 14 and 200 plus feet? And on a 125 I don't think so
well anyways back to the thread I don't think that we will see a 450 quad from suzuki until 2005 at the earlyest... but its great to see that were finally getting some decent machines out there :)

Watch Revalation 199. Kid is nuts. He was 14 and I think it was 207'. It was a tabletop. Davi Millsaps has jumped over 200' on his RM80.
And the RMZ/KXF 250s are nice bikes, but they are a little below the CRF and YZ 250Fs.
And Suzuki does not have any definite plans for a 450 bike yet, so don't get your hopes up.

My dealer said it would be out maybe around March. That is all I have heard and he is kind of a putts so who knows.
