02 raptor shcok on a 300ex?

i was told on here that an 01 raptor shock would work on my 300ex. what about an 02'? cuz i believe i can talk my friend into giving his 02 shock and if a slight mod will get it to work thats what id like to do. why wont an 02 fit?

the o1 has a Remote rezzy, the 02's have a piggy back, so i dont think it will fit
