It's listed in the 2004 sales brochure I got at the dealership......................I guess it's true?

Hmmm..... I just checked the Honda site, down loaded the .pdf specs and it said 38mm carb. Maybe it is true, I would still like a conformation though....

It has the same part number as the older 35.5 carbs so it can't be a different carb. There's no way honda would stock 2 different parts with the same part number. Everyone i've talked too said it's a typo. Only real way to find out is measure the new carbs diameter and nobody on the site has done this so we truly don't know.. I'm sayin it's a typo...:blah:

and to answer the original question, go with a FCR if ya got the $400+ :eek2:

i checked too, its the same part number. so its either a typo or they are discountuing the 35.5 mm for the 38

its wierd that you mention this. i have measured mine before and the i got the measurement of 38mm. i know its a 35.5( 2001 400ex), but either i can't measure or i am measuring from the wrong spot. it came out to being exactly on 38mm too.
