I have a Fuji...I don't know what model it is but it was in the 400 dollar price range when I got it 2 years ago. It takes really good pics.

I have a fuji finepix 1400. Have been very happy with it, well until it fell off the table the other day, pics are kinda blurry now:(
Here, read this. Cnet camera reviews. You can click on 2, 3, 4, 5 megapixels and see what they recommend.

I just bought the Finepix S3000 a couple of weeks ago from WalMart. So far I'm happy with it. I paid $297, so you're getting a good deal. First thing you want to do is buy at least a 64meg card for it. Then get NiMh AA batteries and charger. I got the batteries and charger from WalMart for $10. It will run the batteries down very quickly! I like the 6x optical zoom, and you can get extra lenses for it. This is my first digital camera, I'm used to a 35mm. It's a little finicky focusing sometimes, as auto focus cameras will be. I took the camera to a race, some pictures came out good, others didn't because I'm not used to the lag time with digital cameras. You can set it for continuos shooting, where you can take 2 pictures without the lag. Over all, I think it's a good camera. Let us know what you think of it.

Aah, I wish it was something exciting like that!:blah:
I caught the usb cord ( plugged in the camera) with my hand and over it went.
