I just purchased my wife a new 250ex and I don't know much about quads. I was riding my bike behind her this weekend and I noticed that the suspension did not even move once. I know there is not much to begin with. Are they only supposed to move over big jumps? She was running over some big ruts and washboards and I would see the tires come off the ground instead of flexing the suspension. What is the weight that they are set up for? I can't seem to find anyway to adjust the compression or rebound on this quad. Do I need to purchase new springs? If so, any idea on which spring rate? She weighs 115 lbs.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Im pretty sure the only adjustment on stock 250ex shocks is preload. Your wife is pretty light so the shocks might be a little stiff. I doubt u can buy different springs for those shocks. Works and Elka make shocks for the 250ex.

i would just ride with it, i had my 250ex when i was like 120lb's and i think u just might not be used to quads.
