ALWAYS COLD ON ANY TYPE OF SOLID LIFT ENGINE. THAT IS THE REASON FOR HAVING TO SET THE GAP. UPON RUNNING THE ENGINE AND IT GETTING HOT THE METAL SWELLS AND SHOULD COME TO ALMOST A (O) GAP TOLERANCE. IF NOT YOU MAY HEAR A TICKING, YOU WILL NEED TO SET THEM AGAIN IF THIS HAPPENS.

I just adjusted my friends valves on his 400ex today. Id think that the engine would be a little to hot to touch if it had been hot when you were doing it. Anyways dont forget .004 intake and .005 exhaust.
