bore .80 over vs big bore kit? what do u think

i am just thinking of doing some motor work on my 300ex and was wondering what u guys think. keep in mind i can get the maching of the cylinder done for free. Should i just bore it out or go with a big bore kit? what sizes kits are available and cost? also what kit would u recomend?
