Really? Any pics of the living space?

I know you can't get a new 20ft Toy hauler for less than $25k. If you paid $21k, I think you got a really good price on it. New or used? What kind of amenities does it have? Stove, shower, toilet, generator, heater, all those goodies?

I'll bite...

If I was his father, I'd be half tempted to kick your arse! I'm sure his father worked his butt off in life so he could give his kids a good life...including supporting their hobby's. Atleast this is keeping him off the street!!! I have a question...whats his father suppose to do with his money? I'm sure there is nothing better in life when you can support your child and give them the best money can buy when its something they truely enjoy. I've got $20 that says his father is into the sport as well... nothing better than some good father & son time... something that is really lacking these days!

If you want to be able to do this someday for your kids, stay in school and work your butt off to do the best you can. Dont sit around and complain about other peoples lives...if you dont like yours, strive to make it better!

Now, to stay on-topic....

Very nice setup!!! Great for racin but not sure if it would fit at most trailheads I ride at. :D

I have noticed that. I guess I just pay attention to human behavior, always have, always will.
Yes, some people will put you down if they are jealous. Its just because they are immature and selfish. I know a few adults like that also.

You guys are really given this kid a hard time. Just because he has all this cool stuff that his dad got him doesn't mean he has the best life in the world. It doesn't mean hes a spoiled brat. His father might make him do loads of chores around the house. His father might make him get all As or he can't go racing.
There are two sides to every story.

Just because they spent 20k on a trailer doesn't mean their millionaires. It not how much money you make, its how much you spend. His family might just spend all their money on racing. They might living in a 2 bedroom ranch house. Who knows. We shoudln't be judgeing this kid on his trailer.\

Gibson You have a nice trailer there. I think it is great that your dad is involved in the sport of atv riding with you and your brother. Some of the negative posts on here are lickely due to a little bit of jealously. But Oh well who would not be jealous of that big trailer. Some parents don't choose to get involved in what there kids are doing at all. Your dad is involved and it took to a higher level. Most parents would choose not to do that because of they can't afford it and some that could afford would choose not to spend there hard earned money on a sport for their kids. . If your dad can afford it and wants to buy all the goodies Why not. That trailer is for the dad. It makes things a whole lot eaiser when he takes the kids out racing. He is likely living out some things he wanted to do when he was a kid. I say more power to him.

I am a father of two teenage girls. I would suppose that some kids consider my girls spoiled. Being girls there interest is in Horses. If you think quads are expensive try horses. If someone asked me when I was 20-25 years old if I would spend the money that my wife and I do on the horse stuff for our kids i would have said you have to be crazy. I do it for several reasons. The main reason I wanted to see them succeed in what they wanted to do and do it as a family. They are in a local 4H club and they each have a horse with one extra. We put money out in horse training, tack, trailer, lessons, clothes, shows, feed and so on. We do not go out and buy the real expensive horses like some. The kids part is to do good in school, take care of their horse, help train their young horse, Try their best, and have a good attitude and respect their friends and family (as good an attitude as a teenage girl could have  )
I hope they look back when they get older and say that was great times and I really appreciate the help and opportunity my parents gave me. I am not rich by any means. But I have my own business and do pretty well. Kids will only be kids for so long. They grow up and fly the coop. So we support their interests while teaching them they need to work and help pay for allot of the things they need or want and have fun at the same time. If that is spoiling my kids I guess I am gulty

There are many parents on this site that ride quads with there kids. I think that is a great thing. I think the best thing about this thread is not the nice big trailer it is the fact that the young boys dad is out having fun with his boys riding and trearing it up. If he does it with all the trick stuff that is his dads option. It was not the kid that went down and plopped down the dow for the trailer it was his dad. As long as the kid knows the vallue of the buck and does not grow up and think every thing is handed to him.

By the way. No my kids do not have quads. That is dads getaway :D :blah:

Sorry for rambling
JD

It's great to see families involved in the sport. I'm trying to get my dad involved in ATV's. He is an old-school drag racer and hot-rodder, but after seeing a few ATV's go from so-so stockers into bad *** machines in our shop he is starting to get bit by the bug I think.
I worked my butt off to build my bikes bit by bit and my parents support me even though they don't pay for much (depends on the hobby, my next project, a 69 camaro will probably have a whole lot more $$ help from my dad). As long as your kid knows the value of a dollar and what it takes to make a living that can support a hobby like this, I think it's great to help them out if you can afford it. I know how expensive these hobbies are and know that to afford it I've gotta work my butt off. Thats why i'm going for my MBA. I hope that I can make a good living and help out my kids if I have some, and teach them the value of a dollar (or ten thousand!).

JD

Very nicely said, I used to be into horses when I was a teenager (oh those were the days) my Mom worked her butt off so I could show, ride, board my horse & the rason she did this was for a "family" thing, at the same time she was also taking my brothers MX racing. Back then I'm sure I was a brat & never appreciated what she was doing, but OH BOY now do I have respect for her LOL we are now in the same boat w/ our sons, what comes around goes around hehhe.
As everyone knows we ride & race w/ our sons & it's our main hobby & we LOVE doing it together. Before quads we really didn't do too much together like we do now. My husband works his *** off to afford the things we do, we do own our own place & someday we hope to build a nice house but for now we live in a 3 bedroom single wide mobile home & we call ourselves trailer trash LOL but guess what WE ARE HAPPY & I've said it before, A FAMILY THAT RACES/RIDES TOGETHER STAYS TOGETHER!! I think my son is very grounded about thinks sure he could brag about his quads & things but he doesn't he's just happy to be able to have them & do what he does. I want my sons to go somewhere w/ thier quad racing & hope that someday we will be able to take them & travel w/ them to different races like this kids Dad does. Maybe I'm just rambling on also but for all the parents that do things w/ thier kids I dont' think they are gonna be strung out on drugs & thieves!!! This country needs some help w/ this so maybe those of us that choose to do things & be w/ our kids can help in someway but who knows.:D
