View Full Version : Getting Shoe Polish Off of Car Paint?!

I need help getting shoe polish off of my paint.....it is just little spots of it but it is spread all over my paint on my truck and i can't get it off without scratching it w/ my fingernails. does anyone have an easier way to get it off w/out serious reprecautions?

like waxy shoe polish, or that liquid kinda stuff?

if its the waxy type, heat it with a hair dryer. if its the liquid kind, use non-acetone based nail polish remover.

i guess the liquid.....whatever people use to write on cars...thanks i will try that :D

Try one of the clay bar kits like Mothers or Mequires. I love them, they will clean off anything and it will leave it smooth as ice

If you have a pressure washer, try that. Should come right off. If not try a thick brush and some simple green or something.

yeah i have a pressure washer too and it will take my paint off before it takes off the shoe polish this stuff is stuck on there good.
