Not a bad way to start off the 450R's career. One race, one win.

YAY, but is anyone suprised. IF honda could do it on a Rincon they can do it better on a 450r, atleast I'd hope.

Ya, what Bradley said. OA is overall finish and BC is class finish.

Bike 12a was the team of Gregory, Farr, Eichner

Bike 7a (finished 4th in class) was also a 450R, but I couldn't find the team members.

Not to be a basher, but none of the other Sport Quad companies can pull off this feat that Honda does............repeatedly! That say's something for Honda's dependability and design. Granted, they usually fall short a bit in the HP dept., but their reliability is truly awesome! I'll always ride red!!!!!!!!!!! :macho :macho :macho

Yup they did it with the same guy who came in second this year on a DS, Gilberto Santana, the same guy who won on the rincon.

Um.......no. The Raptor in it's first year broke the swingarm pivot bolt that ripped the back of the cases out to spew iol all over thae place and blew the motor. Luckily the crew had a spare motor in the truck, and swapped them, but lost too much time to ever win that race!

Damn, I didn't read that far in to the race report! ;)

By the way, where do you put iol in? It's probably long overdue for an iol change...

But the second swingarm bolt and engine was ok? :o

I bet they carry a couple of cases of iol... Ok, that's all I could come up with!

Let me know what the doc tells you tomorrow. If you're still off Wednesday, you can watch me ride, and we'll bust some caps. I'll bring my old VHS camcorder... remember those? :p

I agree 100%, They should of reused the 250R fender. That would of been a much better looking quad.

I raced the 1000 20 years ago for Honda, they have every part you would ever need including motors at every pit.

If I read the results correct, look at what quad the team that came in 3rd place was using. 400ex, not to bad for an outdated and underpowered quad. Maybe I will keep mine afterall?

Mickey: Do you still keep a old three wheeler around for old times sake by chance? I was just wondering..............I know it sounds weird but I think it would be cool to have on set up like the race machines back then just to jump on once in a while.

That's the "Never Get Lost" feature that comes free of charge with purchase of a Raptor...

I must say, I've never had any of those problems with mine. Only thing that happened so far was a bent foot peg extender... from you ramming me... and bent steering stem from nailing an 80 pound cement planter at 30mph some J.O. left on the trail... :eek2: But luckily the raptor was leading the 400ex, and cleared it out of the way!! Wish I had video of me hitting it... :p

Yea, as a testament to the awsome brakes that Honda puts on their machines, Both could have been much worse.............Both times could have resulted in a 400ex traveling at a high rate of speed running up and over the Raptor and/or rider.:eek2:
Thank Honda for good handling and brakes on 400ex's!:D
