Well, I am going to get a TRX250r sometime soon, IM going to look for some today..I was thinking about getting a project one and build it for trails...Anyways, I was wonderig waht the best pipe and silencer would be for trails. I was thinking about the LRD adjustable chrome plated ones, because you can tune them for bottom end, midrange, or topend. Give me your opinions and what you guys think about haveing a 250r for a trail quad. I do go to a track sometimes and mess around and I want to race soon. Would a 250r be a good trail quad?

well, i don't really see a big problem in using a 250r for trails, as long as you can keep it some what reved up.

I PERSONALLY PREFER A PAUL TURNER TYPE 6 FOR WOODS AND TRAIL RIDING-WORKS GREAT ON A 250-275 CC MILL.
GREAT LOW AND MID POWER W/NICE FIT.

A lot of people are gonna knock me for saying this, but I think your best bet is an FMF SST pipe. I have had great results with mine and the power is smooth.

Make sure your porting matches your pipe.

Personally I like the Paul Turner stuff. I'd get the Paul Turner pipe with Fat Boy silencer.

like someone said in a different response the fmf sst pipe would probably be the best. If you have extended a arms ftz racing makes one of the best 250r pipes out but you need to have extended a arms. The 250r would also be a great bike for trails you just have to keep them cool. If you have to go slow around a bunch of zig zaggy trails you might want a aftermarket radiator plus the cooler you keep a 2 stroke the less you have to rebuild them.
