What is the value of an 86 250r cylinder that is ported and polished and bored .100 over? Also is it true they make more power than the 87-89 cylinder/
Thanx:D

.80 over is the biggest i thought you could go with out punching it out for a new sleeve. are we talking used or new. used i wouldn't pay over 150 for a used cylinder. new it matters who ported and bored it

It is a used cylinder. And an 86 cylinder can be bored .140 over and the 87-89 can be bored .100 over if a spacer plate and an 86 piston are used. And the jug is ported but i'm not sure who did the work but it looks to be a nice job.:D

I would also say about $150 unless it needs a bore now. I bougth a NEW one for my '88 for $219. I would not buy a cylinder that had port work on it unless it was done from a big name.

As for more power, perhaps low end but not top end.

Are you just talking the cylinder or a complete top end? If its everything, piston cylinder and head, then I would say its worth 200-250.
