well, boring is more of a top end mod, stroking is a low/mid range mod. stroking is also way more expensive. dont really know which one is better, depends on what you want to do i guess

Need more info. What type of riding, what's your budget, etc.
With a 300EX you might be bucks ahead to buy a 400ex, or R if you need a lot more power.

Yeah, I started riding quads when I was 12 in middle school. I started on a Polaris Express 300 automatic. I got my brand new 400 when I was 14 and I hadent even ridden a manual quad before. Of course I could drive manual cars since I was 13 so I just applied the same principles to the 400 and I taught myself. Starting with a brand new stocker 400 and investing 8,000+ to make it race ready was really new to me. When you do move to the 400, try to look out for a good used one that already has all the goodies on it (you probably already know this). After 6 more years of riding experience at the MX track, ive taught myself a lot and have become a very skilled MXer. Just move up slowly and comfortably, with your 300 you have now, and your riding experience, going to the 300 to the 400 will be a piece of cake for you unlike the way I went from a auto 300 to the 400.:blah:

My brother-inlaw has a 300ex, and he bored it to a 330, and blew it up with nitrous so he stroked it to a 352 and he whoops my asp and beats piped raptors up comp hill at the dunes. Its fast for a 300.
