I do believeit wil be very easy unless you flood it or something when it dies or it is very cold outside, the motorcycle doesnt have any problems I think....the crf400 shoukd turn over real easy....someone said you should be able to kickstart it by hand if its warmed up okay or something  I do know that the 400ex does

i think that most Honda's are cold blooded, yet everything is coldblooded to a point (example: about 40 degreees F and below)

Jayson

just keep it in the garage where she likes it nice and warm (if you have one:devil: )

lol... but she only has a building so i guess she will have to freeze,,, i think my ex is like that cause it has to pump oil from the tank into the motor that might play a part in it

hmm, my ex starts up every time easily with the choke on. With all the cold and hot start stuff put into this new 450 i doubt it will be too much of a pain.

Put a 42 pilot jet in your 400ex and you won't even need to use the choke to start it

cory, have you ever rode in sigal digit temperatures or sub zero temps? any motor doesn't like to start, and i don't see a block heater plug hangin off the front bumper either (i ride a lot of winter rides, probably 1/3 my time on the bike). You can jet all you want, but when it comes to that first start up, on a cold previously explained temp, motors don't like it.
Plain and simple, no questions asked.

Not to flame,
Jayson;)

i may not have ridden in single digit temps but i have ridden around 15-20 deg and if the trx is anything like the crf450 then the engine wil start after a few kicks. I must say that i loved that about the CRF450 engine. never any antics. just choke, twist, twist and a few kicks. there she goes.

Honda quads come stock lean thats why they don't start very good. Its not a diesel you don't need a heater.

I live in Minnesota and I probably ride 1/3 of the time in the winter and I have found that my 400EX is very cold blooded. I have to take of my White Brothers Rev Box in the winter and put the stock one one ortherwise I can't get it started.
