I am going to be buying a 400EX soon, I think this weekend...I am getting a really good deal on it to..Im getting it for $1500 and it needs new tires and a front bumper, nothing else is wrong with it and its a 1999..Anyways I was wondering what the best pipe and header combo for the 400EX is to give it more torque, bottom end-mid range power.
I think I want a HMF full system with the red muffler..are they any good? And how much do they cost?

They are good, and about 450$....just get what you like cus there is such a minimal difference between exuasts, just dont get the cheap ones, go with an engine builder, biggun or white bros! they all put 5-7 hp, just jet it right to get the most out of it!

i have t-4, not bad and sounds nice. i wouldn't get the head pipe unless you are planing to beef up the motor. with the money saved on just the pile get a filter, 14tooth sproket and time'n key.
i think this will only cost you around $80 or so and about $250 or so for pipe. hope this helps???

does anyone have a Bills thunder? thats what i want to get when i get my 400 but havent heard many people talk about them. are they good:confused:

hey hondaman300ex where ar your getting your 400ex from for so cheap. i am looking for something just like what you are buying...an older cheap 400ex

I am getting it from a friend...The tires are blown and it is a 99...Nothing else wrong with it. He is the original owner of it..I dont know, I guess he just doesnt think it is worth too much..:confused:
