1986 250r for sale

1986 trx250r in great shape. never been raced. i was going to build it into a racer but now have bought a four stroke and need to sell this one.

frame in great shape - no cracks or welds
engine runs great starts on first or second kick every time.
has been bored .20 over by previous owner who rode it maybe 1 or 2 times and only 5 times in the past 5 years. probably about 15 -20 easy hours. i used turbo blue gas with maxima oil at 20:1 mixture so i wouldn't burn up the piston with too lean of a mixture.
engine has new balancer - $180
new mechanical seal - $35
water pump shaft - $35
water pump impeller - $40
all the little things alont with the new piston was over $500 dollars not including labor. i have receipts for it all.
also have honda service manual.
extras are dg bumper, dg nerfs with blue nets, fmf pipe and silencer, new uni air filter, itp rims all around with itp holeshot tires rear about 50% and front at 70%. also have sand tires that i will sell if interested.

this bike is in great shape and has not been abused. front fender has 2 cracks but could be fixed if fenders were race cut which is what i was gonna do but never got around to. i will cut fenders for buyer if you want me to. the rear fenders are in great shape for original fenders and no cracks.

give me a reasonable offer on this 250r. i don't believe everybody is buying the new 450r, are they??? i may be able to help with delivery to indiana, illinois, or missouri over thanksgiving is someone buys it soon.

i live in ohio but am going to missouri to see my family in kansas city. i will pm you and email you. i will be on here for a while if you want to reply to this. the bike is in very nice shape. i am trying to think of things wrong with the bike but really the only thing that comes to mind is the front plastic needs replaced or racecut to take care of the cracks. i have it taped off already but haven't cut it yet depending on what the buyer wants. the frame is in really nice shape with only paint rubbed off where boots rub and a few chips. i am going to tear it down this winter if i don't sell it and paint the frame to make it super nice, but i would rather sell it.

when do you think you will be coming through missouri? so the barirrings in the axel,swingarm and a-arm's are good. not to sound stupid but does the bike have pretty good low end power "2 stroke" and if I look at it and want it will you take $2,500 for it. thanks for your time

i will be coming to missouri on wednesday. and i will be leaving on sunday. everything is in good shape in the quad. like i said in earlier i was gonna make a racer out of it but got another quad. the bearings are in good shape and the bushings in the a arms are tight still. this quad has not been rode a whole lot. the original owner rode it in the sand and i have trailed it and rode on a track a little and it seems to be very solid. check your pm box.
