Need help with 250r khenin 36 pj carb!!!!

hey i have a 36pj carb that i want to take off because i got a pwk 38 air stryker carb.......and i got the carb of but i can not get the lid off....it has a gold piece on the top and the throttle cable will not fit through......i been trying mant things but cant get it of PLEASE HELP ME!!!!! here is a picture kind of showing the lid

Without looking at mine, I believe you unscrew the brass sleeve then that stays with the cable.

YOUR NEW 38 AS SHOULD HAVE COME WITH A NEW TOP AND ADJUSTER.USE THAT AND BUY A NEW CABLE FROM TERRY OR MOTION PRO.
I BELIEVE THAT THE STOCK CABLE DOES NOT SEPERATE FROM THE CARB TOP

Bingo.

The stock 250r cable is all one unit complete with the top of the carb. There is no way to separate it without destroying the lid to the carb.

There a many places that can sell you a new cable to go with your new carb. I suggest calling around, because you may not find an item like that on their web site. It shouldn't be more than $20-$30.

Your new carb should have come with a lid.
