theres a guy on ebay selling new TRX450R for $2800 and he says hes from Italy and wants you to wire him the payment through western union. what a scam. he also has other bikes on there too. all the yamaha, kawasakis. check it out for your self. just go to ebay motors under atvs and you will see what im talking about. hell i would buy 2 of them right now if this was true, but im smarter than the average joeblo

I think a bunch of people are doing this. At any given time I can find at least 5 very similar scams. It's rediculous...

The unfortunate part is that people probably buy this crap. If people wouldnt fall for it, there wouldnt be scams. Pretty pathetic if you ask me.

There was a guy that had an ebay ID that was something like
"It's a Scam!" and he would go around bidding on all of the auctions that were scams and put in a high bid of like 1 million. So when anyone opened the auction it would say It's a scam! right there where it list the current high bidder.

good idea.

Maybe this site should make a sticky explaining that any auctions that share the same traits as the one mentioned above is a scam... or alerting people it could be a scam. This would cut down on these threads that pop up a few times a week.

I looked at his feed back and everybit of it is from him buying stuff. 7xx feedback. Also the auction states that the location is United states, not Italy

The only trouble with that is you have to be a pre-approved bidder by the seller before you can buy. The guy won't pre-approve anyone, he wants your $ via credit card or MO now. Almost all those quad scams require bidder to be pre-approved cause I tried doing something close to what you said above.:(
