ok well i pulled my motor apart finally today and its worse than i thought. crank bearings shot, bad rod probably, cam and rockers shot (they were brand new!!) piston dead. sucks. so i figure since i gotta go into the bottom end i might as well stroke that mofo to make my friend with a yfz mad. i was thinking either a 440 stroker from LRD or maybe a 465. doesn't FDO do strokers too? how much can i expect to pay for one of those? i don't want anything too crazy, in fact i want it to be rather mild. can they send me the parts i need and i do the work myself? i have no idea where i'm gonna come up with the money for any of this! lol

I have run a mild 463 stroker motor from FDO. the same that is in the Exriders project Quad. you should be able to get it done for under 2k if you send it to them. It is according to have fancy you want to go. I beleive that LRD's is a 460

Since you will need to port the heads and everthing to match the stroker kit you will proably spend around $2,000 no matter where you go. I heard powroll.com has a good trun around time and does great work as well, check out their prices and compare with FDO and LRD, I would cal powroll and tell them what you want...

Powroll did my stroker crank with there heavy duty rod. And my engine builder is doing all the work. Its 460cc's with an 89mm piston. I belive the price for the stroke work and the rod is $550.

Lazarus at GtThunder was showing me the stroker crank and rods they use when i got my clutch from him it looks pretty good too but i dont have a price on theres. He said theres was around 476cc's with a 89mm piston.

Powroll prices are prettty good, if Im correct I think the powroll crank is a +10MM and the GtThunder is a +14MM??? Do you have a link to GtThunders site or there phone #?

I think my powroll is a 4mm stroke and the gt thunder a 6mm? I'm not real positive on this though.

I'm hoping to be close to 50hp. But its hard to say what its going to be.
