has the crank update been done? If so I'll probably take one soon.

It takes me 10 hours to get to Raush Creek if that helps. I've never been farther east than that.

Hey Red, the crank update is not truly an update in a dealer sense, Diamond Racing is the only one who can do the update, and it takes some time and a bit of $$ to do it, but well worth it for the racer, just piece of mind for the trailrider. Most of the 03's have no issues with unbalanced crank, but Jim Winklebauer blessing the motor after you buy one...is a definite plus.

Think this way about it....the quad is a $7000 quad...you buy one for $4000 (cheapest and fastest sport quad out there, and nothing touches it on technology) put $600 into updates, and you are still on top, with a quad that will leave your buddies drooling.

There is a reason i will still be riding dales next year along with many other people.....NO ONE i repeat NO ONE has any quad out with the same level of technology, capabilities, and potential. Let the flaming begin, but I will not switch to anything else at this point, because it is like going from a 03 Lamborghini and selling it to buy an 04 Kia Rio....newer model, but no comparison.

Ben

The only problems I've heard of with cranks going out are the ones with the Speed and Moto maps since they rev 1000 RPM's higher. Like Ranger said, this wasn't an update. This is a pretty rare failure, I have not seen it happen myself.
Myself and Rowlrag have been racing our Dales for a year and a half with no problems! Only time we have had our motors apart was to loctite the bolts under the side cover. We are even on the origional clutches.
This is the first year in 15 years of racing that I haven't had a DNF!

This might be an off the wall question, but doesn't 400EX shocks and A-arms fit on those?
