I recently bought an 86 trx250r and the guy gave me two sets of front shocks, the stock ones, and a nice set of aftermarket shocks that have a reservoir on the side of them. They have a sticker on the inside that says white power, could anyone help me with who makes these and a little info about them. I need to find out info or a website because they leak a little and need rebuilt

thanks

First of all welcome to the site:D

The shocks are made by White Brothers. I am not sure that they make them anymore but Santo DeRisi could maybe rebuild them for you.

Hey welcome to the site

The WP shocks are not made by white brothers, They were imported from the UK by white brothers. One problem White Brothers nolonger sells those shocks. There are many suspension shops that can service those shocks.

If DeRisi doesn't work on them, I'm pretty sure Jeff@quadshop does...

I also have WP shocks on my 250r.

I always thought White bro's made them.I don't see why white's bro's wouldn't buy them and then put their name on them.

I also have a rear WP shock also.

They are pretty good shocks.Better than stock or even works.I bought mine for 750 for all three freshly rebuilt and valved for my weight and +2 A-arms from a buddy of mine.I would like to get a set of PEP ZPS's.When I do I will be putting them on my 400ex.

Pretty much any shop that does shock stuff will work on any shocks if they are rebuildable...

I ran them for several years on my 250R in the mid 90's. They are very good shocks, well worth rebuilding!

KTM bikes still run WP suspension, so I'm sure a KTM delear could point you in the direction of someone who services them.

Anything that says White Power on it can't be bad.

I can work on the WP shocks no problem at all.

I also have front WP shocks on the 400. My local shock guy rebuilds them with no problems. He says that they use a little different theory than other shock companies. He also says that parts are getting a little harder to come by. Here are a couple of web sites that deal with them: www.thecycleshed.com, americandirtbike.com and mx-tech.com. I have talked to the mx-tech guy and he would be who I would send mine to if my local guy wouldn't do them. Or, I have read very good things about DeRisi. Either way, I would keep them.
