Looking at buying a used RPM axle . Do they ask for a receipt or anything to get a new one if it breaks or bends ? It is good now but just wondering about the future. Don't jump real high. To Old For Tripples :D

I never had any problems with mine. But you should be ok as long as the engraving is still on the center of the axle.

RPM are the best people to deal with. I have never had any problems with them.... great turnaround time too.

Just make sure the axle you get has the serial number engraved on it, in the center. I will never have a different axle.

I asked that exact question directly to RPM and the GM emailed me back and said once the axle switches hands from the original owner, all warranties are void! Now, I do believe they have the best axles, but be leary of the warranty on a USED axle. I am curious also if anyone has ever bought one USED and then got some warranty work done to it.

Typically, warrenties are only good for the original owner.

However, if you're not jumping tripples, then chances are you won't NEED the warrenty.

Rpm's customer service is pretty good. The one quad i bought came with there tapered bearing carrier and when the guy i bought it from got the carrier it came with a 250r brake stay. I called them after i bought the bike and told them this they sent me a 400ex brake stay.

You are right. I would be surprised if i even had a problem with it. A LSR axle would do the job also.

You never bent and/or broke it? or........ you did bend and/or break it and they did not ask if you were the original purchaser?

I bent my RPM axle and sent it in to them, and they had it back to me in no time at all. RPM is a great company to deal with, and I have been very pleased with their axle.

Were you the original purchaser?

I bought a used 300ex with an RPM Dominator axle... To this day, axle is true, even with my fat butt. I am not much of a "jumper", but I have been known to crash a lot on my 300ex. (Bent stock rear rims, but axle is still true!:) )

Needless to say, I bought an RPM for my 400!:macho

(I too highly recommend the Dominator axle).

Good luck!
