Im shure you could, all you have to do is just yndo those nuts at the top of the spring at it should come off right? I say take it apart and see what happends, you can always have someone put it back together 4 ya if ya just cant figure it out, good luck! Shouldnt be hard.

A spring compressor can also help make things easier somtimes.

all ya gotta do is back off the preload completely, then at the bottom of the shock there are little metal disks u pry out with a screwdriver, i did it for my first time a month ago, it is very easy.

can I ask why you are going to all this trouble for a raptor/400ex combo stock shock?

That is all i have heard form perople except one or two. I asked Jeff and he said that there will probally need to be a 400ex spring on it if you weigh under 200 pounds. My quad is all apart right now for my winter rebuild  so i am just getting the 400ex spring and converting it so i will not have to when i get my quad back together.

changing the springs on a zps shock isn't hard at all, however a non zps shock like the one you are using will be more of a struggle, heres a hint, find a friend to help ya
