Good dog name??

Well my mom and I decided to get my dad a dog for his birthday which is comming up in a few weeks ( Dec 8th). Today my mom picked up a little pup , which is only 3 weeks old . Its a Lab mixed with some other kind of dog ( looks to be Rotty to me) . Its a golden color and was the biggest out of the bunch . Its also a male . Well now we need a name for it when we get to bring him home in 2 weeks. So whats some good names for a dog? We already had one named Samson aka Sam and another named Sandie. Heres what my mom came up with ... Chase ( i dont know why) and Cuda ( cuz my old man has a 69 Cuda 340 which he just built) . I came up with Laeger ( cuz i think it would be cool to be screaming that name at 2 am . haha joke). What do you guys think?? He's gunna be a pit dog , and coem with me to the MX track and go with my old man when he hits up the drag races .Lemme hear what you guys got . I'll get pics when we get him .

we used to have a doverman named maxwell (max), but it attacked my mom and the breeders took it back and gave a cercificuit for a free dog.. this was back in 96, we paid $800 for it,
we picked up our rotty (from the same dealer) which was worth $1,500, and we didnt have to pay a dime difference, so it all worked out.

Actually, Briantrx's & my dogs name is Dixieland's Dillinger von Evman - but Daisy is much easier to say! :)

My personal favorite is Chopper...but Brian insisted on Daisy (not because he wanted a wussy name, but really because of Daisy Duke haha!)

Don't get ANYTHING mixed with Lab.

I think people confuse them with retrievers. On a scale, Golden Retrievers are among the top smartest dogs. Yellow Labs are among the DUMBEST dogs ever.

My girlfriend's father had a yellow lab, got it as a puppy. That was the stupidest dog I've ever seen. The dumb thing never stopped barking, it even wore out the batteries on one of those "bark collars". I was working on my quad one time, and the stupid dog kept running off with my tools! He sent it to obedience school, no effect. It came back just as stupid. You couldn't even teach the dog to SIT, it was just too stupid. I tried several times, but the dog just wanted to run and play, it would never stand still long enough to teach it anything. This went on for nearly 3 years, the dog was still stupid.

Finally, after this last hunting trip, the dog didn't come back home.

So, my advice. DON'T GET ANYTHING MIXED WITH A LAB!

Great Danes are awesome, we used to have a chit load of em. They were the black ones tho, not the brown ones like Scooby Doo. Gental Giants, thats their nicknames..and its the truth. Ours were all named...Rocky, Max, Max II, Conan, Conan II, Conan III. Sure were intimidating things tho...scared the chit out of ALOT of ppls, but they wouldn't hurt them at all.

Well we got the dog lastnight and gave it to my dad for his birthday. It was an early bday gift cuz his bday is on Dec 8th but my parents will be out of town so we gave it to him yesturday . My dad settled on the name Cuda , cuz we just finished building our 69 Cuda 340. This dog has gotten so big in the last week since i last seen him its crazy . He is gunna be one HUGE dog . He kept me up most of the night cuz i had to feed him and let him out for a pee and stuff. He's still only 4 weeks old so house training is gunna take a while . I'd post some pics of him if it wasn't so godda*m complicated . LOL . The Admins really gotta go back to the old SIMPLE method .

I grew up with Great Danes my entire life.... my dad has always had one (until now, he has german shorhairs, bird huntin)... Great Danes are wonderful dogs.... some of the best IMO. The 3 dogs I remember were, (in order), Zack, Zeus and Rocky. Zack was built like a brick chit house (VERY muscluar), Zeus was the hunter and Rocky was the most laid back...he lived to eat & sleep. None of the died of old age... Zack died of heart disease, Zeus broke his neck in a "V" tree chasing a squirel and Rocky's spline "flipped"... spent thousands trying to save him at a vet... no luck. :(

Ours were all really strong n muscular. Funny things too...Max I u used to be able to tell him to sick the fire, and he'd jump threw a bon fire n stuff, it was funny, but he never hurt himself. None of ours died of old age either I don't believe. They got sick, or shot, or hit by cars:( Conan III was shot and hit...he roamed around ALOT, and he got caught by the dog catcher a few times, but 1 day he came home w/ a bullet hole in him, which was really sick. Then a couple days later...he was roamin around, and it was night out, and since it was dark...he went out on the road and got hit. I remember goin w/ dad, and dad running around lookin for him, and he was off in the ditch wimpering, and he put him in back of the truck, went out to the woods where he worked at the time...and had to finish him off:( Cuz he was so badly broken by the car..there was nothing the vet could do. I remember lookin at him and him, and he was lookin me in the eyes, and he was wimpering, and he wagged his tail weakly, and I was crying. U should have seen the car tho...it was totalled. If they had of found out it was our dog...we could have gotten sued...big time:eek2:
