Ok i am tired of asking what jet should i use for this and for that.
Help me out, i need to learn the parts in jetting....

What is the needle used for?
What does the main jet determine, how much fuel is used?
What does the pilot jet control?

If the bike is running lean and lets say i have a 165 main jet do i go to a bigger jet or go to a smaller jet.

How does the idle screw work, do i turn it in or out to smooth out the idle.

What about the throttle cable, how do adjust it to control idle?

I would appreciate if someone teach me this so i dont look stupid asking people i ride with.

just remember that we have a fuel skrew and not an air skrew. this means by turning the fuel skrew out the idle mixture gets RICHER (more fuel). check these sites out:

after this, you should know the basics.
if your bike is running lean (not enough fuel), you need to increase your jet size to richen your air/fuel ratio. you should not adjust your throttle cable to adjust your idle. when sitting on your bike, look down at the carb from the left side of the bike. there will be a silver skrew on the carb that a flat blade skrew driver fits on. turning this will increase/decrease your idle speed. let us know if you have any other questions.
