Quick question....
How many actual qtz of oil is needed for the 400ex, some shops say 3 but i have not got more than 2 in.

If you take the motor appart and clean it it takes 2.2 L
If you just change the oil it takes 1.8 L
If you change the oil and oil filter it takes 1.85L

That according to the honda shop manuel

Put just under the amount it need run the engine 5 minutes on idle and double check and to it up.

1.9 QT if all you did is drain it.
1.95 QT if you changed the filter too
2.3 QT if you disassembled the motor
