All you can do is play with the settings on the stock shocks to see what you need. They are fully adjustable so they may indeed work for you with a little tuning.
I have works fronts but run a stock rear shock on my 400ex, and I consider myself a B-A class XC rider at 265lb. The shock has plenty of adjustment in it to work VERY WELL for me and has more adjustment to go. It even works for me on a MX style course.
Good luck with your new ride! They are sweet!

I talked to Dave the day it was released on the internet, he told me that someone had backed out of a yfz that day, and offered it to me. It was a tempting offer, but I'm sticking with Honda. Are they doing the hrc kit for you? I haven't talked to him about it for quite some time.

$6800 that is without hrc package.

Based on the reviews posted, it sounds like the stock fronts can really be changed with the adjustments - so since you arent that heavy you may be able to get it to work, but that's really just a guess - no way to know for sure...

Don't forget about taxes and other out-the-door fees. :)

yes msrp is $6499 when you add $301 to take it out of the box and put the tires on it totals $6800 this shop adds $300 to msrp on all quads but no sales tax.
kwatts400 and ylw400 where do you guys ride?.

I'd tell'em $6499 in the crate out the door, C-ya! There ain't that muck to prepping one, and I trust myself more than their techs anyway. :p
Oh well, Yea I forgot the fees. Good luck with your new ride! Give us a full report on it!

Theres more than you think to correctly prepping a quad or bike. The dealers don't do it for you though so you should do it when you get the quad anyways. Regreasing the linkage, axle, wheel bearings, a-arm bearings, making things are torqued correctly, etc.

There actually is tax on it in DE since it is a motorized vehicle, it isn't much though, and there is a fee for the title as well. Both are a dmv thing. This will be the fourth bike that I have bought from diamond motor sports, and I have no complaints with the way they are set up for me. Its nice to go into a dealership where everyone knows your name and they make it a point to speak to you when you stop in.

Honda5, I ride in Jersey at the njorvp, at least until my membership runs out in Jan. My friends also ride up in Pa, in the coal mine areas. I haven't been to Blue Diamond yet, they are holding motocross rces tommorrow, so I think thats out. I hear it gets better all the time.

So then......................save the prep fees?
