I own the 250x in the sig below. I am wanting to upgrade the front end without spending a lot of money. I just bought 400ex shocks and already have the relocating kit, but was wondering if the 250r or 400ex a arms would be better to use. Does anyone know which setup is wider?

Opinions from others who have done either conversion would be a big help.
Thanks

i have done the setup and my advice is to use the 300ex a-arms with the 400ex shocks and mounting bracket. you will like it best, 400ex geometry is way different than 300/400ex a-arms geomtry. its real twitchy and lots of bumpsteer

How much wider was your quad with the 400ex a arms on it?

i am saying screw the 400ex a-arms, its a bad idea, throws the geometry way out of whack. use the stock a-arms (or atleast a-arms designed for a 300) with the 400ex shocks and mounting bracket.
