Anyone have any idea how hard it would be? I've got a tractor with a Front-end Loader but no plans on how to build it. Any pointers would be great I don't want it to be huge because I'm kinda limited on space but I need something to do tricks over.

trial and error, but if you gota enough dirt to make a table that will be alot easier cuz u can do it slowly u dont gota just go out and throw it out the first time

Thanks, I figure I'll just build the kicker and a landing abouut 20 feet from it. Not much room for a Table top. Plus that takes an awful lot of dirt.

in order to do any tricks besides a no footer or 1 ft can can off a 20 ft gap your gonna have to make it extremly steep and tall same goes for the landing but then youll have to adjust your quad in the air so you cant really do tricks off a small jump like that youll need atleast a 35ft gap

when you build the kicker, put a large peice of carpet on the face of the jump, top side down... it will help the jump hold its shape :D Good luck.

Your going to need a bigger gap then 20ft to do freestyle.

I have a 60ft double that I freestyle on and it's barely enough for big tricks....

I have one... here's my tip. Make it steep, and the landing too. About 100 ft apart... ok ok how about 75ft.

I'm switching from XC racing to MX and Freestyle. I Have some experience playing on some MX tracks.I'm starting to think around 40-50 feet for the gap. I'm no pro but I can jump.
Thanks for all the pointers keep them coming.

put a big safety on the landing and don't make the landing that steep because the steeper it gets the less transition there is the rougher and harder its gonna make it for you. If you can land it perfect every time it might be better but if ur gonna be doing tricks over it your gonna be making mistakes and you want it to be forgiving.

Once you build it water it down really good and ride your fourwheeler up and down it to flatten out all the little bumps and to pack it in. Then let the sun do its work for a day or two and keep watering it down and it will get hard so you don't have to worry about throwing the dirt off of it when u jump it as much.

Also make the jump tall with a smooth tranny rather than a small jump with a harsh tranny so that it is much more predictable and you can preload off the face a lot better.

Thanks guys.
What about the Transition for the jump face? Any tips on how to get the best pop out of it? Angle, length of jump, ... anything would be helpful.

Well Turns out a guy I've ridden with has an MX track on his property. We're planning on riding this weekend and I may get some pics posted up if all goes well. Still would like some info on getting the transition right on the kicker. Thanks guys
