where to get rid of empty race gas jugs

I just started buying race gas and I already have three empty jugs in the garage, where do I get rid of them legally?

refill them or i find that they make a nice stand to use to put your quad on

I think you can return them for a deposit.

Most shops charge a small deposit on race gas cans, and obviously when you return the can, you get your deposit back.

While the shop probably won't give you a deposit charge if you didn't buy it from them in the first place, I'm willing to bet they WILL take the cans, because THEY can get a deposit from the manufacturer.
