Do you have any pictures or know what's changed from the old style?

I am not sure exactly what has changed, the look slightly different and they are now straight (no bend) so that there is less drag with them. Go to www.walshracecraft.com and look for yourself.

I think those might be the standard length a-arms, but the LT are still the same. Then again I could be wrong.

go there, it sounds to me that those are the only MX a-arms that he is making now. But, maybe not. Anyhow, anyone tried them???

My friend has the old style, and he has Elkas, but the Elkas are only triple rate, and not quad rate like the rest of the LT Elkas. I think if used on a frame other than Walsh, the arms might use the shorter shocks (like Roll), but the Elkas on DR's site that come w/ a Lobo are quad rate..

you're pretty much right on that. You need to have a frame that has adjustable shocks mounts (Walsh, PRP, JRD, Roll, any others?) to use shocks longer than 16".

So do you wanna buy my JRD's?

i think the new design is the standard travle arms. on his site it says new standard travel. im pretty sure the long travel a-arms are the same

i have the new style walsh a arms on my walsh bike and it is a long travel set up, i dont know about other ones they make but i know the ones on my bike will only fit on a walsh chassis bike.
were the a arms monts to the frame is a differnt width then a stock frame and also a differnt width then a roll frame.the the way u cant put r arms on a 400 unless u machine the mounting point were the bushing goes.
i think the main reason he changed them was for groung clearance, but i may be wrong.
i have pics of both setup's if some one wants to post em ill email them to yea.

i talked with nate walsh abotu the new design and they both mike and nate ran the new design a arms on their crf440 walsh bikes and they are LT a arms. he changed it for ground clearance.

makes a lot of sense, long travel that uses a straight arms so that you aren't slamming the ground, the shocks cant work properly if the a-arms are hitting the ground all the time.

It surprises me more companies aren't getting rid of the bend if they could gain ground clearance. Heck the ArsFX stuff actually kind of bends up.
