starter button

my buddy and me stopped to take a short break,i went to start my quad and it wont start up the headlights work and it gear starts, and when i take a screwdriver,to jump the soliand it starts so i took apart the start button swith and theres no power up there. this ever happen to anyone else? if yes what did you do thanks

You might as well get a new one. It's probably easiest unless you see a wire or something loose.

Get a small multi-meter. If you can determine there is no power at the switch, follow the wires back. You may have to take off the plastics, but it shouldn't be too hard to follow the wiring. Test it at every connection to determine where the problem is. Electronics are easy that way.

Make sure you set the multimeter for DC though, since batteries produce DC current.
