got into argument with b-ball coach!

first off we had practice at 6am-7:30am...and after school at 3:25-6:00pm:mad:

he asked if any of us would miss any games or practices due to vacations. I said i would miss alot in february on fridays and weekends because racing starts feb 1st.

he told me " I dont want you racing while basketball is going on!!!" in a real mean voice...he pissed me off so i said "If you got a problem with me racing you can either kick me off the team or bench me, its your choice...im not gunna stop racing"

He turned around and walked off...didnt say anything....i just thought it was funny and i would share it with you:p

Well he probably doesnt want you to get hurt so you cant play basketball for him.

we've talked about it before...he just can't afford to bench me.

he is a big time coach...he has coached all over the place and some colleges i think. His house is 2 1/2 hours from here..drives every day for practice.

The coach here doesn't let hockey players snowboard because 3 of players got injured snowboarding last year (2 had broken wrists, one broke his leg).

Yea i would..but my dad pretty much forces me to play..we have been to state 3 times and once placed 5th. He has been our coach up untill this year....

I loved wrestling in high school. I coached for a few years after I graduated.

I'm not suprised the coach said that. When I was playing football in HS the coaches pretty much told us to be bums when we were not at school or practicing. Doesn't do the coach much good if a player gets hurt.

i played football and basketball, and ran a little track in athletics, i thought all of it was stupid and boring... i guess some people like sports with one ball better than one that takes two

i have that problem with my parents wanting me to play baseball. id just rather ride. ive been playing ball all my life. gettin a little old. i enjoy riding much more.

i didn't play any high school sports. i hated going to school. i was just happy to get out of there and not have to waste any more time then necessary playing sports for someone else. i'm 25 right now. i couldn't wait to get out, and go to a technical school and start a career. sorry i don;t have much time for things like high school sports which you'd play and never get nothing out of it more then saying you played football.
