The only thing setting me back from it is the drum brakes. That seems so old fashioned in this day and age. The Grizzly has really caught my eye even though it is a Yamaha.:o

my moms bf has one. lots of bottom end power. punch it down and the tires come right off the damn ground. Great mudding and all around vehicle. his does about 58 top end to 60.. decent machine:macho

Awww.... there ya go, bashing the Yamaha again!

And now... A FREAKIN RINCON????????????????????? :eek2:

Getting a little old for the 400, are you? Or something you can ride with your arm in a sling... By the way, next time you're standing outside looking in my bedroom window, stand further back from the house so your hand doesn't hit it and dislocate your shoulder!

dirtwheels said honda did that for more break life.....i like the idea....we have to change the breaks on our kodiac about every 3 times we ride.....breaks cost 30$ a pair

Just a bit of info but we make the headlights for the Rincon where i work. I would love to have one but the other 3 hondas that i feed are enought for the checkbook for now.

If you don't mind the Rincon being slow or having almost no engine breaking, then buy it. You can't beat Honda's reliabillity. I had a chance to ride the Rincon and the Grizzly quite a bit. I bought a 2003 Grizzly, and I like it. All my other quads, trikes and dirtbikes are Honda. I swore I would never buy a Yamaha. I'm glad I bought it. The suspension is very good for an ATV that weighs 600 LBS.

i rode one at my local sandpit and it was SWEET. id definitly go for it..it would wheelie with ease and i was hanging with a raptor easily. the guy riding the rapter said it was more fun than his

When designed right drum brakes are more powerful than discs, honestly why do you think that you don't see disc brakes on semi's? Most drums are sealed so no water, dirt, mud can get in. The only thing I don't like about the rincon except for the price is that it's only a 3 speed, I think that 5 would be more versitile.

I love mine, and my dad has one too. The engine braking will hold you back to about 12mph. For a lot of steep hills that is too fast, but the brakes are better than you would expect for drums. There is 1000 miles on mine and 1800 on my dad's, and neither one of us has had any problems with the front brakes. There have been plenty of chances for mud to get into them, and they are still dry.
