i've got the powercore 4 spark arrester version on my quad right now. i know they also make a quiet version as well, but is there any kind of insert out there to quiet this version down. i can't find anything in the mail order catalogs designed for this pipe, but thought someone may have fashioned their own. looking at the quiet cap for the big gun this past weekend, it looks as though you might be able to modify it to fit snuggly in the fmf. anyone have a proven answer to my problem?

by the way the glass is fresh... just repacked it in spring!

I would try contacting FMF. They may offer a quiet core for it.

I have the same pipe.... the only version that is quiet, is the actual Quiet Core pipe... there is nothing you can do other than buy another pipe.... as far as I'm aware of.

Flattrack how old is that silencer. I bought one of the original FMF PC 4 silencers about 4 years ago or so. They are WAAAAAY louder than the 2nd series PC 4. I also owned the 2nd series too which is the same thing mofo has now. The difference in the 2 is unreal. There is no fix for this from FMF that I know of..

The BigGun piece is a quiet core. The end caps are the same, and all now come with the screen spark arrestor in the end cap.

Packing from spring is not fresh. That needs to be replaced.

I also have a PCIV and it is ridiculously loud. I think I have one of the original ones.
