Hey gang,
new member here ! Waz up ?
I have a 2002 400ex and put a 14t front sprocket on.
I have a Pro Circuit T-4 on the way and have a 4"x8"
opening on my air box lid and installed a Keihin 165 main jet.
I didn't up the pilot, because it starts well and idles fine.
Does this sound like a good set up?
Thanks,
John

I just installed my Pro Circuit T-4 a few weeks ago, except that I have not modded the airbox yet. I just up the main jet to a 155 and it seems to be running real well at all throttle positions. I initially turned the pilot screw out (richer) 1/4 turn and it was bogging on take off from an idle. I turned it back in and it cured the problem. This tells me that the pilot is not too lean yet. I did just purchase a 42 pilot jet. After this weekends ride, I plan on adjusting the valves, so I will tear into the carb while everything is apart. I plan on installing the 42 pilot, moving the clip on the needle down one notch, and uping the main jet to 160. I will then put holes in the airbox until it no longer runs too rich. Hopefully this will give you a starting point to work with. BTW, I really like the sound and power from this pipe.

Cool Magnum,
I read about the T-4 in two different exhaust shootouts and chose it.
I'll put it on when it arrives and go from there. Thanks and keep me informed when you put your 42 pilot in and modify your airbox.
