If you were to quit riding and racing today....what would you do to take its place??

I think i would try go-kart racing, my friend does it and those things can go pretty fast.

i'm gonna have to agree with rippinitup7 and 400exrules on this one, i'm definitely buying a streetbike in hopefully a year or so when i get rid of my quad. looking at the f4i's or gixxer 600s.

If I quit:
Well first I would have to spend a couple months in the padded room of the phsyc hospital. Then I would probably buy a street bike, a cruiser or a dual sport.
But then again, the only way I would quit riding was if I was dead.

If I quit I would buy a nice bass boat and start fishing again.I sold my last boat cause I never fished,I was always riding.I hated to see it go but I hated seeing it sit there even more.

Well we've been wanting a boat (and we'll prolly get a cheap boat this year), but, if we were to stop riding, we would definately get a nice boat, prolly a boat designed for wakeboarding. I would also start playing with my '72 Monte Carlo! :)

why are you always blaming the equipment/machine??? You already stated that fast cars get you in trouble... why is that? Because the driver decided to do whatever go him in trouble....NOT the car. The car or machine DOES not make any decisions for you...

You think bikes are gay... another intelligent reason.

If I did not have my quad or got out of ATV's, I would get into Auto-X'in again. I'd buy my GTI back and start racing... :D

I basicly have quit riding for the last couple of years.I ride maybe once a month.I still love it though.Hopin to get my R back togother soon. And buy a 400ex and start racing mx and xc.

For the last 2 years I have built a 69 chevy truck into a pretty fast truck until I blew it up.I also have just tinkered on cars and what not.I also got into some stuff I shouldn't have.Which I will stop doing pretty soon. And then focusing on riding again.

if i quit ridin id prolly buy a harley or a sport bike but then again im not old enough to drive either, i think thats the main reason i ride dirtbikes and quads is that i can go pretty fast and it doesnt matter what age you are.

11-09-2003, 06:57 PM
well i hadda quit riding bout a year and a half ago :-/ hoping to get back into it next year but ive been working alot more, hanging with alot more girls, going out alot more and lifting alot....so i guess i took more of a social turn being im poor and cant afford to build my car or anything up

Well, most of my friends race dirt stock cars and that's what I would probably do. I got into this in high school, but couldn't sell my bike. Quading overall is much cheaper then running race cars. Besides you get to jump, lol!:D

Thinking of a having break now.
Bored with the bike and not sure if i should spend a bit to liven up the 400ex, get a new bike or retire gracefully.

Might dig the golf clubs out of the shed!!!

Well this actually had to happen to me after my crash at Macon this year, i tried getting into wakeboarding to get my mind off of racing(that lasted for about 2 months until i got bored with it) now im going to buy a xr50 to just play around on until i can race again. Its probably the most depressing thing you can go through. It hits me everyday when i look at things around my college campus and think "hmmm i could get sum sick air off that grassy hill" its almost sad but i think about it every day and i cant wait to get back in it.

Life w/o quads in NO like at all!!!:D :D guess maybe we'd restore my hubby's 57'Chevy & get both of our 6 wheelers running:rolleyes: We bought them last spring one supposedly in running condition & the other in pieces but haven't got them up & going cuz I'M ALWAYS WANTING TO RACE LMFAO thats what Ron says anyway hahahahahahaha BUCK UP CAMPER thats what I tell him!!

If you get the 6 wheelers running, be sure to post pics! I bought one about 20 years ago in non-running condition. I fooled around with it a little, but had no resources to fix it up... so I drug it to any out of way place and a few hundred rounds of ammo... :eek2:
