with just that filter you probally won't need to rejet unless you are riding in really cold temps or at some high altitude. i would probally just remove the lid and jet it for that so you don't have holes in the lid if you ever ride in water. if you decide to change jets, it isn't that hard to switch mainjets.

ok thanks i think ill just put it on and if it doesnt run right ill jet it and cut the holes. on my old 300 i had the lid removed and it got way too dusty becasue i ride in sandpits so i think itll run nicer with the holes. the temps arent too cold probly 40's right now and altitude is normal..ill rejet in the winter though. changing the main jet isnt too hard? i always thought it was pretty darn hard, ah its worth a try.

on the bottom of the carb there will be an 18mm bolt that you unskrew. right up from there is the mainjet. i think it is 6mm. unskrew it and skrew a new one in. do NOT tighten it too much. snug is plenty. remember to turn your fuel off whe doing this. you will also spill a little fuel out of the bottom of the carb when you take the 18mm bolt off. its rather easy.
