500cc Stroker Kit

I have a midrange kit from ct racing and one of the upgraes included is a 440 kit. I asked Mickey Dunlap if i could still put the crank for the 500CC in after and he said NO... but i dont understand why...He didnt explain to me why because i didnt ask him...i dont underdstand why the crank wouldnt fit with a different connecting rod or however he fits it...:( HELP ME OUT

Because I use a lighter / stronger rod with a 19mm top end pin vs the stock 20mm.

to clear that up the piston in the 500 (90mm ) is bigger then the one in the 440 kit (89mm) the hole for the rist pin is not the same size, and if you take the piston down 7mm more the compression would be way to high so you nead a low comp piston.

so in order to get ur kit i would have to re sleeve my cylinder with the custom 90mm piston?

Yes and get the stroker crank.

You can go all the way to 92mm with the piston.
