I have been trying to find the twist throttle for a 400 to no avail..
I was fine with the thumb throttle until I started riding my gsxr750 Now its a must to have the twisty on the quad. If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated..

make sure you order a 1/2 twist throttle.....if you get a full twist it will drive you nutz trying to get the quad opened up. 1/4 twist is pretty wild on a quad

do yourself a favor. Don't throw your thumb throttle in the trash. Riding a bike (street or motocross) is MUCH different than riding a quad with a twisty! My may find that you really don't like it. There are SEVERAL here that thought the same thing and ended up selling the twisty shortly after putting it on.

They both have there advantages. I love my twist throttle. I find it actually easier to turn with the twist throttle. I don't have to worry about my thumb getting tired.

Dissadvantages. If you start to fall off its not a good thing to panic and pull back on the handle bars. lol If you roll the quad extremely hard the twist throttle can get jammed into the handle bars making it so the throttle won't move then you will have to take the twist throttle apart to ride.

But definately keep your thumb throttle for a little while making sure you got what you want.

I have never been one to panic and try to rip the bars off.. If im going to bite the dust I just say get it over with.. No sense in prolonging the inevitable. Just do it and hope its not too bad.

As for throwing the thumber away.. Not a chance. I think I keep everything around for awhile

just my opinion. I did the same about 2 mo's ago. Thumb to twisty, all was cool until....... i decide to do a killer wheelie in third and i go back to far, well no boot's on and my foot slipped off the brake lever, natural tendency to hold yourself on when you lose your footing... gee guess what... WHAM.. twist that damn trottle pulling myself back on the quad..... HUGE ENDO..... F****d up my left ankle and planted a major goose egg on my right calf.... anyone ever see an exterior embolism... they are not pretty... anyway... thumby going back on tonight....
