I am thinking about boring my 400 out this winter. My mods as of right now are listed below. I don't know if I should go with the 416, 426, or 440. What in your opinion would be the best kit? I have looked at Sparks and LRD national kits but I am still undecided.

If I were you I would:
416 JE or Ross piston kit, this way if something goes wrong you can always bore to the next size. This will give you plenty of power :D I would also look at buying the parts and doing the work yourself you can save alot of money going this route
a piston kit, steel flexgasket kit, hotcam, will run under $300
The price will vary on what cam you are looking for price goes up from the hotcam.

I hope this helps.;)

I just got my bike back yesterday, and it's got the 12.6:1 JE 416, hotcams stage 2, and I also had the head rebuilt. It cost me a little over 600 bucks because I had someone else build the motor for me, but the parts were around 300 bucks, plus the head rebuild.
