i think it is a pretty good overall bike. there super easy to wheelie. Kinda suprises you sometimes. But you can climb about anything a bigger bike can. they have decent power. you kind find parts cheap for them compared to some other 4wheelers.

i have beat the hell out of mine and so far the only real weak area is the junction at the left foot peg cracks, gusset it and youl be fine. other than that, they are indestructable ( ive tried)

yeah i really favor the 300ex frames because they're square..i think square holds up alot better than round..quick lil quad with the right mods..fun to ride..you can get em pretty cheap these days too

never owned a 300ex, but my neighbor has 3 of them, and the only one that doesn't work is the one that was in there garage when the car blew up.....(no one got hurt, just what was in the garage...long story) other than that, all of the 300's I have seen are bullet proof, but than again so are recons. I say go for it!

I just got a 300ex couple months ago and I love it. I'd like more power but back when I got the 300 they were still alittle pricey, otherwise might've gotten a 400. Contrary to popular belief, they have a decent amount of power. I ride the hell out of mine and have always kept up with the 400s until we get to the flats. I'm also a smaller guy, so all I gotta do it lean back and the front end will come up in a second, it is very "wheelie friendly".
