600cc Quad

Have had a mid-nineties xl650 salvage title bike given to me and am contemplating mating a 250r or 400ex chassis with the driveline. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what is required for this and is there any info on the web concerning this combination? Also, What are your opinions on such a setup? Good?? Bad??

is it watercooled or air? can you get pics? it would be a great quad...i wanna do it in my 300 frame...so if you wanna sell it..let me know :) also...could you measure the motor mounts and possibly take pics of it?

nope...4 strokes are countedbalanced. no vibe :) just raw power...gonna need to gussett my frame pretty good :devil:

Yeah baby!!! We picked up a XR600 motor awhile ago & are gonna put it in a 400 frame. We have a 250R fame but it's been wrecked pretty bad & is all crooked plus we would have to cut the whole top off to fit the motor in:eek2: This is our next project for my son to flattrack when it's done:eek: :macho

did you ever get your xr600 engine in? im here to tell you the new 450s wont hold a candle to my or your 600ex.

i see this thread is old but im about to try my own 600cc freak build. i want some tips and examples to study. lets wake this thread back up and see where the build is now...
