i know this isnt about hondas, but i have to ask it anyways, being i like this site better than bluetraxx. MY banshee backfires, on acceleration, and decceleration, and is hard to start. I was thinking that either the carbs are clogged, or the jetting is off? The plug isnt a rich brown, its more towards a whiteish color. Would it being to lean make it backfire? thanks guys, ou yeah, its a 1996 banshee with billspipes and kn filter, with no airbox lid

Should have put this in the "Non-Honda Forum."

What size jets do you have now? Where is your needle positioned? If the plug is white, you are running lean. Turn your fuel screw out 2 1/2 - 3 turns out.

Have you taken off the carbs and cleaned them?

if your plug is white you are lean for shore
and if it backfires it's your air srew turn it out.

Is the plug white only on itle or is it white at full trottle?
If it's white on full trottle you have to go bigger on the mains
